it does not cost because it's too rare

Also because francium is such an unstable element, it is under strict control. You must have a special licence to possess it. You must have a special licence because any idiot could throw it into a pond around humans... then... humans go boom

I know, I've seen the below comments. Yes, I know Francium isn't for sale. However, theoretically, how much WOULD a gram cost? I'm assuming upwards of $100,000 per gram. Would that be a plausible price, or would it be closer to a billion? Is there any sales records that I can look into to find an equivalent of how much a gram of Francium might cost? Once again, this is purely theoretical.

There is only 30 of francium. If 100 were thrown into water, it would explode, and a woman discovered francium.

Francium is not able to be sold because it is a very, very rare element! There is only about 30 grams of it on the planet earth!!!

E-mail address ryan - 3/2/2007 6:50:46 AM

because it is impossible, there is only 30grams on the entire planet, second to rarest element
