I have to do a project on xenon, but there's not really any info on the web about it. Does anyone know the uses ? If it's a metal ? chemical and physical properties ? Where is it found on the earth ?

Xenon is used in lasers, the flash in photos, and in antibacterial lamps. It's a non Metal and its a gas. it makes up .0000087% of the Earth's atmosphere too.

We need to know the word origin of xenon! Yes, we know it means "stranger" in Greek, but who named it, when, and why? Thanks, guys (or girls)! :)

William Ramay and Morris M. Travers discovered it on July 12, 1898

Xenon is a gas used in electron tubes, bactericidal lamps, strobe lights, and to power ruby lasers. its a non-metal. its found in the atmosphere at levels approximately one part in twenty million.
