Beryllium was discovered in 1789 by a man named Nicolas Loius Vauquelin. It's an Alkaline Earth Metal and it's a solid and a metal.

I'm only 13 but I know that if you subtract the atomic # from the atomic mass, you'll get the # of neutrons. The # of protons and electrons is the same as the atomic #. All of that is on an Atom of Beryllium.Beryllium's atomic # is 4 and the mass is 9.01218 but you round it so it's 9. There are 4 protons and 4 electrons because it's the atomic # is 4.There are 5 neutrons because you subtract 4(the atomic #)from 9(the atomic mass). It's in Group # 2 and Period # 2. That is on the Periodic Table.
