i need to find out when was zinc found, how did it get its name, how is the element found in nature and how the element produced especially for commercial use. **** thanx

zinc was found in 1746 by Andreas Marggraff. Its name comes from german "zink" meaning gold.it was found first in brass since brass is an alloy of zinc and copper.zinc is the main ingredient in all diebetic foods that use artificial sugars. the isotope of zinc at 68(38) (normally 65,30) isa whte powdery substance that is a stable isotope and will not harm u if ingested. This is what they make the artificial sugar of(of course other things as well) I hope that solved your problem and your welcome.

About Andreas Sigismund Marggraf, he was a Germanic chemist, but he was born in 1709 and died in 1782. And about his discovery of zinc, it was in the year 1746.
