Zinc is chemically combined w/ nothing. Zinc is a pure subtance. It can be combined w/ things such as copper to make brass.

i've read that zinc was discovered by Andreas Marggraf 1746. Although some other resources says it was discovred earlier by other chemist. So , did Andreas not name it then ? what was the exact discover he made did he just isolate the element or just recognize it as an element ?
