  I have to do a Science report on Iron too and I found out that Axel F. Cronstedt discovered it in the year 1751. I found this in the dictionary.

Iron was discovered in the prehistoric days of BC. The discoverer was only known to the acients.

one later i am here answering you it was discovered by the ancients, it came from space, and it is used to build stuff and some other supplies, and the name came from ferrum which is a latin word, it was discovered arountd the year A.D 400, later chealsea
