I realy need to figure out who was the first person to find helium!! And i still can't find it and i went to ask.com and chem4kids.com and none of them work and told me and so if u can as soon as posible replie baack and tell me who the first person who found helium was!!!

  what family does helium belong to?

Helium belongs to the Noble Gases family. It is group 18 in periodic table. To this group also belong Neon, Argon, Krypton, Xenon and Radon.

My class is doing an expierment and i need to know a couple of things:how many electrons Helium has, 3 things where Helium could be found AROUND THE HOUSE, When it waws discovered, who discovered and the source of the element. the # of protons are 2 and so are the electrons and the # of neutrons are 2 also :)

The name comes from Helios, the greek word for sun. where it was found, i dont know. to find who found it look at the main helium page.
