neon is used for flowing lamps, electron tubes, signs, plasma studies, fluorescent starter tubes cryogenic refrigeration and gas lasers hope this helps =)

I know that neon was discovered by Sir William Ramsay a Scottish chemist and Morris M. Travers a British chemist. Also in 1898.It was in London.Does that help? |
