Neon is a rare gaseous element present in the atmosphere to the extent of 1 part of 65,000 of air. It also is an economical refrigerant. It has over 40 times more refrigerating capacity per unit volume than liquid Helium and 3 times more of Hydrogen.

Is neon itself dangerous? In what way?

what i found it is not dangerous because it is a very stabel gas (low reactivity, but there are a nuber of hazards associated with neon, depending on its state (gas or liquid). inhalation can cause suffocation, skin exposure to the liquid can result in frost-bite,liquid exposure to the eyes can also cause corneal frost-bite.
