What are some physical and chemical characteristics of platinum ?

Google is the best place to find stuff. I found some bohr models on platinum. I know that it has 6 shells and 32 electrons in one of the shells. It has a total of 78 electons in all. I hope this helps u alot.

i need the origin of platinum for a project.

as in who found it? what platinum's name comes from? what it is made up of? Heres a quick biography: Platinum's name comes from the spanish word platina. Julius Scaliger found it in 1735. It is made by gold and palladium ores.
