Evidence of the existence of helium was first obtained by Janssen during the solar eclipse of 1868 when he detected a new line in the solar spectrum.

Pierrer-Jules/ce'sar Janssen a French astronomer is who found it

I mean do you know how many Protons and Electrons are in elements 2-20?? Are do you know where I can get this information from??

The atomic number is also the number of protons and electrons
eg: for Lithium the atomic number is 3 so the # of protons is 3. the number of electrons is 3 also because all elements are equal

can an alpha particle bond to something? i mean, in theory, if you slowed it down, maybe gave it one electron, so it became a He+ ion, it could bond covalently with a highly electronegative element, such as Fluorine?

and for those of you wondering about the properties of helium, it is inert, so far. and it is mostly found, i believe, in natural gas mines (though im not sure), and as a result of radioactive decay.

What happens when Beta radiation is introduced to helium? Would ionizing radiation occur when introduced?
